How do I use LinkedIn? Your company is growing, you’ve gone through the various stages of launching it, creating a website, prospecting for customers, launching your product…
However, you’re looking for new ways to develop your business. But you still need to know which one to use and how to use it.
In this article, we’ll give you 5 tips for developing your business with LinkedIn.

1. How to use Linkedin: taking care of your page

It may seem obvious, but many Internet users neglect their Linkedin profiles. Some don’t understand the importance of an E.-reputation. It’s essential to take the time to complete your profile or that of your company to 100%.
Your company’s Linkedin page is the first thing your customers will see when they search for your business, so take care of it!
We’ll give you a few tips on how to optimize your home page and increase your visibility on the network:

  • Create a company page: click on the “product” icon in the top right-hand corner of your page, then select “Create a company page”. It’s very important to fill in the information carefully. Linkedin works on a very simple principle: if your page is filled out, you’ll be more visible to Internet users. The information requested is fairly standard (company name, description, special features, etc.).
  • Profile picture: include your company logo. It’s important that Internet users can quickly identify you and know who you are. You also have the option of putting a cover photo, so you can take advantage of the opportunity to put a photo of your team, for example.
  • Biography: quickly describe your business. In no more than 1 minute 30, Internet users need to know the different facets of your company.
  • Be aware that if you write a long description, chances are nobody will read it. In this description, take the opportunity to insert keywords corresponding to what you do.

2. Target your customers

LinkedIn has introduced a great tool called ” advanced search “.
The social network offers 9 filters such as :

  • key words,
  • companies,
  • business sectors,
  • schools,
  • etc.

We strongly advise you to use them, as you’ll first be able to see your direct competitors. Analyze their strategies and the way they publish, and then go and see their followers – they’re the ones you need to target !
Linkedin is packed with groups on a wide variety of topics. They’re very useful for finding and targeting customers. They’re also an opportunity for you to publish your articles and assert the fact that you’re an expert in your field.
The aim of these groups is to increase interaction between Internet users.

3. Using Inmail

First of all, Inmail is a tool developed by Linkedin that lets you contact someone without knowing their e-mail address, or even being part of their network.
This is a paid service, but if you don’t get a response within 7 days, it won’t cost you anything.
Linkedin has announced that you’re 3 times more likely to get a response by using Inmail to prospect than via traditional e-mail.
We’ll give you some tips on how to write effective e-mails.
You’ve paid to send a message, so you get what you pay for!
You can’t afford not to get a response, or not to capture the target’s attention.

  • Introduce yourself (quickly), and if he wants to know more about you, he can take a look at your profile.
  • Now, tell them about your business and the advantages of your product or service for them.

You can also remind them in the message of the relationships you have in common, which will reinforce your credibility.
Above all, don’t forget to give them the link to your website, service or product that you offer. Always keep in the back of your mind that you’re there to sell!

4. Running a blog

Keeping a blog is an excellent way to publish regularly on the network. It has many advantages:

  • Increase traffic to your website through regular article publication
  • Better natural referencing
  • Be recognized as an expert in your field

For a blog to be relevant, it must answer the questions of Internet users.
To generate traffic, we advise you to write articles with unique content.
You’ll then have more readers and be more easily relayed on social networks, which is very important for reaching more Internet users.
Having a blog is a fantastic tool for excellent natural referencing. If you respect the rules set out by Google, you’ll quickly reach the top positions.
However, to do this, you’ll need to publish regularly, and we recommend one article per week. This should be around 600 words long, to be considered relevant by Google.

5. Publish, interact, but not too much

How to use LinkedIn? We also advise you to publish regularly, stop being a spectator of the network, be an actor!
Remember to relay each article from your blog after your LinkedIn network.
Take part in interactions, give your point of view, but only on subjects you master of course. This will reinforce your credibility and your level of expertise with your community.
However, you know the saying: ” Too much… kills the…”.
You now have all the tips you need to develop your business with LinkedIn, so get started!
