My sister gave me the name and the time, and we met there at 8.30pm, but there was no one there. After 20 minutes of waiting, I decided to start trying to call the other participants, and ended up learning that the plans had changed as there was no more room. Finally arriving at the right cr\u00eaperie 30 minutes late, I&#8217;m told &#8220;But we warned you at 2.30pm, aren&#8217;t you taking your messages? I then ask where I should check my messages &#8220;on your Messenger&#8221;. Bad luck, I was kayaking in the afternoon and I&#8217;m not on Messenger all the time, even on vacation.<\/p>\n\n<p>Another time, a cousin complains: &#8220;You could at least answer your phone messages. But where? &#8220;On your Orange mailbox&#8221;. Problem: the messages are only available on the Orange site, you need your login and password, I&#8217;m in France during the vacations, I don&#8217;t know them by heart. Ah, and then I&#8217;d rather be on the beach and taking daily than interrogating the messages on the Orange page. And then, after all, it&#8217;s the vacations.<\/p>\n\n<p>Several family members have made another complaint. &#8220;You haven&#8217;t told us about the estate&#8221;. Where? &#8220;On the What&#8217;s App family group. Oh, yes, I forgot, Europeans are all on What&#8217;s App, whereas in North America it&#8217;s Messenger.<\/p>\n\n<p>I also discovered, several days late, that CIBC had sent me a text message to inform me that they had changed their policy. Honestly, I don&#8217;t give a shit.<\/p>\n\n<p>On Outlook, my accountant asks me why I haven&#8217;t replied to his message about the importance of registering on the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) site. Well, he can wait, and so can the ARC, almost all of whose pages contain errors. Parenthetically, I have to admit that I laughed out loud to see such an incoherent site. The government must have paid a few billion to CGI or IBM to come up with such a wobbly site, with French mistakes and 505 error codes on every page.<\/p>\n\n<p>In short, I&#8217;m not going to become a slave to all means of communication, especially on vacation, if it&#8217;s important they&#8217;ll manage to find the right way to contact me, and too bad for the unhappy ones, that&#8217;s their problem.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Too much communication kills communication<\/h2>\n\n<p>All this to say that we used to have a telephone to talk on, it wasn&#8217;t difficult and it was efficient.<\/p>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/challenge-action.com\/formations\/communication\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Learn to communicate<\/a>, now the number of means of communication would like to make us slaves to following them, I have other things to do than spend my time following every possible channel to give an immediate response.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A non-exhaustive list of current means of communication<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Face to face<ul><li>Direct face-to-face contact with the person is ideal<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Face to face with an intermediary who conveys the message<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Phones<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Home landline: this is the old way of communicating. Landlines are almost completely disappearing from the home, and I&#8217;ve had them removed, but many people still use them. After selling my kayak on Marketplace, my contact asked me why I hadn&#8217;t received his text messages and then said, &#8220;Do landlines still exist? He was a retired engineer from Hydro Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Messagerie t\u00e9l\u00e9phone fixe \u00e0 domicile qui n\u00e9cessite encore de conna\u00eetre la proc\u00e9dure de r\u00e9cup\u00e9ration des messages et le mot de passe.<ul><li>T\u00e9l\u00e9phone fixe du travail&nbsp;: bien que n\u00e9glig\u00e9 par les jeunes il est toujours n\u00e9cessaire pour la prospection commerciale gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure de communication. Apr\u00e8s avoir vendu en kayak sur Marketplace mon interlocuteur m\u2019a demand\u00e9 pourquoi je n\u2019avais pas re\u00e7u ses messages texte puis m\u2019a dit&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Cela existe encore les t\u00e9l\u00e9phones fixes?&nbsp;\u00bb. C\u2019\u00e9tait pourtant un ancien ing\u00e9nieur \u00e0 la retraite d\u2019Hydro Qu\u00e9bec.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Work phone messaging that requires another password to remember<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>T\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable travail&nbsp;: un incontournable, pay\u00e9 par l\u2019employeur pour certains postes, la contrepartie \u00e9tant de r\u00e9pondre rapidement pendant les heures de travail.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Cell phone text messages work<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>T\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable personnel. Les banques et administrations en font un instrument n\u00e9cessaire pour g\u00e9rer leurs comptes. On se demande comment font les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es qui ne le ma\u00eetrisent pas bien. Pour moi ce qui est inqui\u00e9tant est de voir comment on ferait si on le perdait et l\u2019outil extraordinaire de flicage pour tout \u00e9tat, m\u00eame \u00ab&nbsp;d\u00e9mocratique&nbsp;\u00bb. La d\u00e9claration des biens immobiliers par l\u2019\u00e9tat fran\u00e7ais macroniste est un d\u00e9j\u00e0 un outil de contr\u00f4le, le fait d\u2019\u00eatre oblig\u00e9 d\u2019utiliser son t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable pour s\u2019identifier n\u2019est pas rassurant. Les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es n\u2019ont eu d\u2019autres choix que d\u2019attendre en file pendant des heures dans les bureaux.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Text messages from personal cell phones<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Vacation Orange landline<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Orange landline messaging on their site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electronic mail<ul><li>Work e-mail<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Personal e-mail<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complementary personal Gmail messaging, it&#8217;s common<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/challenge-action.com\/formations\/reseaux-sociaux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">R\u00e9seaux sociaux<\/a><ul><li>Messagerie LinkedIn, parfois relay\u00e9e par le courrier \u00e9lectronique. C\u2019est le moyen d\u2019\u00e9change privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 dans le milieu des affaires.Messenger&nbsp;: personnel ou de groupes. Il y a aussi les invitations et les \u00ab&nbsp;brouteurs&nbsp;\u00bb qui tentent de vous hame\u00e7onner.What\u2019 App&nbsp;: ici les choses se compliquent&nbsp;: appels, message, visio, individuelle ou de groupe. En France tout le monde l\u2019utilise et s\u2019attend \u00e0 une r\u00e9ponse imm\u00e9diate. Et bien tant pis ! Les groupes sont nombreux&nbsp;:<ul><li>Family groupClose family or beach groupGroup of friends<\/li><\/ul>Instagram&nbsp;: c\u2019est le moyen d\u2019\u00e9change privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 des plus jeunes qui n\u2019ont m\u00eame plus de comptes FacebookTelegram&nbsp;: le moyen alternatif privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 dans les pays d\u2019Europe de l\u2019Est, mais qui gagne en popularit\u00e9. Il est d\u2019une esth\u00e9tique rustique, mais facile \u00e0 utiliser, l\u00e9ger, crypt\u00e9.X (Anciennement Twitter) qui reste le meilleur moyen de s\u2019informer \u00e0 la source et qui dispose d\u2019une messagerie.<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Threads, the Meta competitor praised by the media, but currently at least Instagram&#8217;s appendage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>In all, more than 25 communication channels, and I haven&#8217;t even counted the other social media that also offer messaging.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preferences<\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Businessmen prefer<ul><li>Landline telephones in their offices<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Their cell phone<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Outlook<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lindedin&#8217;s messaging system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The French\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>What&#8217;s app<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>North Americans<ul><li>Text messages<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Messenger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les jeunes en Am\u00e9rique du Nord, ils n\u2019utilisent par leur courrier \u00e9lectronique, mais&nbsp;:<ul><li>Text messages<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Instagram<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Messenger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Young people in Europe<ul><li>What&#8217;s app<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Text messages<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Instagram<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to communicate now<\/h2>\n\n<p>Of course, the choice is yours, but in life you have to know how to sort and prioritize what&#8217;s important to you.<\/p>\n\n<p>So you need to know:<\/p>\n\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Who you want to communicate with and their preferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritize the means of communication you like and let others know about them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It&#8217;s not up to you to carry the other person&#8217;s monkey on your shoulders, it&#8217;s up to the other person to know how to contact you.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The perfect business application<\/h2>\n\n<p>The conclusion is clear: marketing, <a href=\"https:\/\/challenge-action.com\/en\/how-to-increase-sales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">business development<\/a> and sales are all about reaching target audiences through the communication channels they use.<\/p>\n\n<p>The best tool for developing and managing your business relationship is the CRM, and it&#8217;s the one you need to rely on to manage your communication.
